Here’s what I did to renovate my old Carradice saddlebag.
My Carradice Super C is about 6 years old. It’s done quite a few miles and has had heavy use commuting. So it’s not surprising that the waterproofing was wearing off and it has a few holes….
- A tired old bag
- Using a cable tie instead of a leather strap
- Hole in the side pocket
- Vital supplies for the repairs
- On the washing line
- Making a corner patch
- folding a corner patch
- Gluing on a patch
- Gluing in a corner patch
- Gluing in a corner patch
- Rubbing on the wax
- Before the hairdryer
- After the hairdryer
- The hairdryer
- refitting the wooden rod
- New leather straps
- attaching the light to the bag loop
- Decoration and the light
Very informative and easy to follow. Thanks for posting!
