Camera on Board

On the recent Elenith ride several people commented on the handlebar camera mount I used.

It’s simple clamp from “7 day shop”. I have no connection with the online-only shop apart from as a satisfied occasional customer. It grips better on OS bars. The mounting “head” has a cunning arrangement to allow adjustment of angle etc.

It works well! The only little problem is that I have hoods that stick up a bit. These tend to get these in the bottom of the shot

Vibration doesn’t seem to be too much of an issue, most shots come out fine, even when I wasn’t using the cameras special anti shake mode

One thing several people asked was..”are you making a movie of the entire event?” answer, no for a few reasons. The plan was to have the camera instantly to hand and take stills. But I did make a movie of the descent down the other side of the Devil’s Staircase…
